Beautiful Disaster book review

"Beautiful Disaster" is hot, fun, heart wrenching, intense goodness in wrapped up in one book. I didn't want to put it down when I started reading it. I loved Travis Maddox more and more as I read the story. He is a fascinating and complex character. You want to know more about him, the more that is revealed to readers. I found Abby to be a strong character she was a bit unexpected in a good way. I look forwarded to reading "Walking Disaster".

'Isabel Plum: Icthyologist' by Julie Krantz

'Isabel Plum: Icthyologist' by Julie Krantz

"Isabel Plum: Icthyologist" is a book about a precocious and spoiled little girl named Isabel Plum. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Krantz hit it out of the ballpark with this story. Isabel Plum is a sassy diva, full of spunk and attitude. Oh boy! when she doesn't get her way the tantrum that erupts from her is full blown. Used to getting everything she wants to excess, when she doesn't get the pet she desires, but a fish instead she doesn't want to have anything to do with it. Isabel has a change of heart when she notices the guppy's health takes a turn for the worse.

Full of wit, whimsy, and colorful prose this book is a must read. The illustrations add character to the book. Drawn in a style reminiscent of children's drawings or art work the illustrations were a nice element that added cuteness to the story. I would definitely recommend it for young readers. I think children especially little girls will love this story.

This is a nice book, chock full of helpful tips. I look forward to making some of the liquid soaps in the recipes. The book would be better if it had pictures with each recipe, so you could get an idea of how each soap would look. I would recommend this book to people who love crafts and making homemade goods.

'Dragons love tacos' book review

Dragons Love Tacos

"Dragons love tacos" by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri is about, you guessed it dragons who love tacos. In this cute story a little boy named Robbie talks about the love that dragons have for tacos. Why dragons have a affinity for tacos, what dragons like on their tacos, and what not to put on a taco if you're going to give it to a dragon.

This book is both fun and interesting. You keep turning the page to see what silliness is going to turn up next. Robbie seems to be an expert on dragons and his witty remarks on their likes and dislikes make you smile and want to keep reading. The many dragons come to Robbie's house for a taco party. The dragons are all different colors and sizes each have unique features. At the party they shovel in taco after taco. Then Robbie realizes that the number one thing that dragon's don't like, spicy foods, is all over the tacos. Jalapenos are in the salsa, and much to Robbie's detriment he couldn't stop the dragons from eating the tacos. Unfortunately the dragons burn his house down. Good thing the dragon's helped him rebuild it.

This book is fun, and I think young children will enjoy it. Any child with a love for dragons will be drawn to this book. The illustrations are fantastic and add a delightful and quirky air to this story.

SUPER SNAIL SALE: A Story for Resilient Children

This is a nice book about being adaptable and able to bounce back. The theme of perseverance is a great moral for children to learn. Nevertheless, I feel that the book was too short. I wanted to see Slobadan take on more challenges, with his gung ho resilient nature. I found the animations to be colorful and cute. I think kids will like this book.

Sandwich Ideas Cookbook book review

All the recipes in this book look really delicious. The pictures were vibrant and added a special element to the book. I found the organization of the book to be lacking. I think the titles of the recipes should be on the same page as the recipe. The organization made the book not flow well. I am eager to try these recipes out. I love sandwiches and this book looks like a great resource.

Alphabeti-cool Book Review

Alphabeticool Review

From A to Z, "Alphabeti-cool" is a vibrant, cute, and engaging book. Each letter is represented by a a wonderful illustration that brings the letter and pages to life. The illustrations and words aren't the typical choice that alphabet books usually follow. This book is full of unique text and fun illustrations.

I really enjoyed reading "Alphabeti-cool". It was a well written story. I think children in the early childhood demographic will really enjoy reading it. The book was also brilliantly and beautifully illustrated. I was eager to turn to the next page to see the wonderful drawings. I found the use of such bold, bright, and vibrant colors enchanting. I enjoyed how children will have the opportunity to explore other words that begin with these letters instead of A is for apple and B is for ball. Instead you get the creative K is for kids go karting, and G is for giggling girls in the grass. Her use of alliteration was great, and very clever.

I also liked that each letter in the alphabet had a drawing that explored a variety of places and objects to expand early readers horizons. I would definitely recommend this book and use it in my classroom.
